Error - Cannot read file
I'm getting an error when trying to open a score that has been sent to me. "This file was saved using a newer version of MuseScore Studio. Please visit musescore.org to obtain the latest version."
I have checked for updates and done a fresh install of musecore 4 and am still receiving this error. Any tips? Thanks!

What version of MuseScore are you using? Was the file created using a Nighlty build rather than the latest stable release? Open the MSCZ file using a ZIP file manager program and use an HTML or text editor to look at the MSCX file that is containsl the version number it was created with will be near the top of the file.

Hi thanks for the response! The MSCZ file was created in version 4.40. The version I'm running is 4.3.2 , though when I check for updates through the program I'm told I am up to date. I attached a screenshot of the MSCZ file opened through a text editor just in case I'm looking at it wrong.

So, 4.4 is a development build. It is soon to be released but the latest stable version for download, meantime, is version 4.3.2.
