Laissez-vibrer on chords
I am trying to figure out how to add an l.v. tie to all the notes in a chord. The l.v. articulation works beautifully on single notes, but I can't figure out a way to add l.v. to a chord.

By using shift+click to select the chord before and then adding the l.v.?
I should have been clearer. By "add l.v. to a chord" I mean how can I add an l.v. tie to every note in the chord. I would edit the original post, but the forum does not seem to allow it.

You can edit your post by clicking on the three dots right of your comment.
But it's not clear for me what I do missing. When I select the chord (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/selecting-elements#Different_ways_o…) and after it add the l.v. tie each note of this chord should be connected with a tie.

Hmmm. My three dots only show "Unsubscribe" and "Mark as spam". Maybe I need a more exalted status to edit. (Read that in a jocular tone.)
So I can select the chord, no problem. But I don't see an l.v. tie option separate from the regular tie option. But clicking the regular tie option does nothing, because there is a rest after the chord. And assigning the l.v. articulation only adds it to the bottom (or top) note.

Ahhh, now I can reproduce it. I did check it in a score with two notes of different voices, there it seems to work. But in a chord with notes of the same voice I get the same behavior as you. Seems to be a bug for me.
I'm running into the same issue and would love to see a solution provided. For now, I've been using 3 diffrent voices for each note of the chord. The result is OK.

The easiest, most controllable, auomated way to apply L.V. in MS4 would be to get the MS3 TAB Ring plugin working. Unfortunately the MS4 plugin API does not yet support this possibility.
It works with any number of voices and will give realistic L.V. even if you choose to score in a single voice without any tied notes.
