Repeated crash in 4.4.2
Hello Musescore team:
I was just writing some, and I decided to upgrade. So I updated Musescore to the newest version (4.4.2 Studio) and continued. And it just started crashing at almost everything, here's a list of things I encountered:
Making a 16th into an 8th
Using arrow keys to move notes
Copy pasting a few measures
Deleting a note
and a few more.
Why does this just crash all the time? On my previous version (4.0.x, I don't remember exactly) I had no trouble whatsoever. I also can't find a way to undo my update. I use POP OS 22.04 LTS, 8GiB RAM.
If I try to open my files in Musescore 3 it just rejects it and doesn't even attempt to open it even if it would lose some features.

I see your OS, POP.
One question: did you download MuseScore 4.4.2 in AppImage format (the only one supported by the Musescore team), or say by Flatpak?

Flatpack, unfortunately I don't know anything about converting appimage to an executable format and didn't find anything helpful on Google. But, I can try to see if it works in appimage.

An AppImage is an executable, you'd just need to switch on the corresponding permissions, Described in the handbook...

also, I managed to get it executed, thanks!

Do you know where to report issues in the flatpack? it appears to be packaged by MuseScore itself rather than one of the distros.

Mo, there's no flatpack from the MuseScore development, only AppImage

In that case, the flatpack should be removed from https://musescore.org/en/download

Why?

Because as appimage produced by MuseScore is the only supported way, linking to a random flatpack package that may or may not work, may or may not be obsolete from the official MuseScore site is a bad idea

It links to several other non-supported packages too. But in the header only to the the supported ones
I can also confirm all these crashes (also on 4.4.2 flatpack on PopOS 22.04). It seems the flatpack is fairly broken (this should likely be reported to PopOS). It's probably worth trying the .deb which is also in the app store.
