I am having trouble converting PDF to Musescore any tips please

The conversion of PDFs in Musescore (or other applications) is not very reliable. It depends on the complexity, the quality of the template and so on. You have to do a lot of rework in almost all cases.
It often takes a similar amount of time if you just copy the notes in Musescore instead of correcting them.

With commercial tools it might be a bit better, but they depend on the same things.

I scanned some music , then tried with a second page and it wouldn't work.

Yes you do need to fix some areas, however I found it good enough to persevere.

If your second page used the same title as the first page, that is the reason it didn't work. The built in scanner will only work on a title once. If you choose to download the full Audiveris, (which you should) be prepaired for a bit of a learning curve.
