Fix your score! Measure 42 is 18/8 long instead of 12/8.
Then open each part, check the bar length of m. 42 and if it is also wrong, reset the part.

Actually, I figured part of it out, when I edit ie cut and paste from staves sometimes it doesn't put the full bar rest in the stave I cut from. It leaves the stave completely empty and doesn't automatically get rid of unnecessary rests but when I paste the music in another stave that has rests. Notes for some reason are overwritten as they should be but some rests are pushed aside leaving a bar with more notes than there are supposed to be.

What do you mean by "insert mode?"

When encountered the issue I was mostly copying and pasting. But I generally enter notes by pressing the "n" key on the keyboard then the letter names ie A, B, C, D, E, F and G using control to change octaves if that's what you mean.

But thank you. Resetting the parts fixed the blank measures which were showing 0/1
