Staccato adds extra volume
I’ve noticed that in string parts where I have applied staccato to notes it increases the volume by about 50%. Is this normal, and is there a way to stop it from doing this?
All the best,
Rob

Interesting. Usually it make notes softer. Please post a short score that does this.

Maybe it's the instrumnet set I chose. I'm using Cinestrings solo.
Have a listen to the attached first movement from my second string quartet. In first violin in bars 63 and 64. The staccato notes sound much louder on my PC.
Thanks for the help.

OK, I don't have that font. For the fun of it listen with Muse sounds. use violin solo 1 for both violin parts.

Hi, Yes, I too discovered that the issue is dependent on the soundset. The increased volume does not happen when using the standard Muse sounds. Hopefully a furture version will fix this issue.
Thanks for looking at it.
Best,
Rob
