Adding sustain pedal to different parts of the same instrument (piano)
Whenever I add a pedal marking that I specifically want to use for the 2nd part of the piano (written on the same line, the green part), MuseScore doesn't let me change the pedal marking to 2nd part, thus EVERYTHING in the 2nd part is never sustained. Ever. Even when I highlight the whole measure and put a pedal marking under it, part 2 is NEVER sustained. I don't know how to fix this, but it is very aggravating.

Actually, a score would help us help you better.
Unless things have changed a lot, any Ped mark will affect both staves of a piano part. Regardless of voice.

And indeed, a real pedal on a real piano affects the whole instrument.

That's what was so aggravating: you'd think that if a measure had sust. ped. markings, ALL of the notes would follow the sustain, but for some reason, only the 1st voice (blue) was sustaining and I couldn't get voice 2 (green) to follow the sustain at the same time. It might've been a weird bug because it seems to be fixed now. Thanks though.
