MuseSound playback issue with ties

• Nov 9, 2024 - 21:39

I'm on MacOS, MuseScore Studio 4.4.3, Muse Guitars Vol. 1 (dated Dec 8, 2023) from MuseHub. And the Muse Sampler Library version is 0.100.6

Can anyone confirm this behavior on Windows by downloading the score, opening it and listening during playback.

I downloaded the score. It's set for Electric Guitar, and it sounds fine to me. When I hear it online the notes do swell in volume and has a twang to it. My OS is Windows 11.

Did the score open that way for you, specifically with the track set to an MSBasic guitar?

I saved it with Muse Guitars>Electric LP–Clean so I'd think it would have opened that way for you—unless perhaps an MS Basic guitar is an automatic fallback for those who don't have Muse Guitars installed.

Cearly the matters reported are Muse Sounds issues. When I switch to MS Basic>Clean Guitar I don't hear any of the issues reported.

Also curious, regarding Muse Guitars Vol. 1 (dated Dec 8, 2023) is that the latest revision of Muse Guitars? MuseHub says I'm up to date.

What a strange effect. It's like a sample that was looped too far back, thereby causing a volume mismatch. However, there is also a weird buzz
to the 'echo' so it's not a loop back.

Does it have the same problem with a full breve in 8/4 timing?

Thanks for your insightful question.

To address it I updated example score on .com adding a a third line with measures of 8/4. Each measure holds a full breve, so the notes are of the same duration as those on line 2, but without ties—and the result sounds identical to me.

I find the first line more peculiar ... because the note of the next measure start before the current measure is complete.

As yet no reply from MuseHub/MuseSounds regarding the post I made on their forum.
