No way to hide individual brace

I've been trying to find a way to hide individual braces.
When there is no two lines for a string orchestra, there is:

Violin I
Violin II
Viola
Cello
Contrabass,

and two braces, one that links the Violin I part to the Violin II part and another that links the Cello and Contrabass part.
However, when there are two lines introduced in one part (in for instance, a divisi a2 or a solo / altri), let's say the first violin part, then there is usually another brace that indicates that those two lines are of the same part. But then, on top of that, there is another three-lined brace that now extends through all first violin lines and the second violin line, even though the smaller divisi brace is supposed to negate and hide the bigger brace that connects the violinI and II parts.
Is there a way to hide the bigger brace at certain points and not others?

Is there a particular reason you want to brace the cello and bass together and the 1 and 2 violins? But nothing with the viola? Personally, I would only brace the divisi part when it is there. Unless you are trying to copy what some publisher did.

That may be. But it isn't standard in MuseScore. Though there is a bracket line for violins 1 and 2. And not at all in Sibelius.
I think that to do what you want, you may need to create a brace image and add it to your palette. Finish the score including hiding empty staves for the 3rd violin part. Then do the brace work last.
Perhaps someone will come along with a better idea.
