Keep the scrollbars visible at all times and make them wider so we can actually grab them.
"Screen real estate" is not an issue since it's only a teeny tiny part of the bottom and leftmost screen. Nobody complains about "Screen real estate" in other programs. And make an option to display the scrollbars at all times and control their transparency. I hate ghost scrollbars that appear only when you scroll down or up or sideways. It's creepy to be honest. Please make this so, guys. I know you can do it. You guys are smart and can make things go.

It will be interesting to see if anyone else has an issue with them. Which, BTW are a relatively recent addition.

Pretty sure they do. It's annoying to want to place a note on the page only to have the page fly off into another part of the score because you went too close to the invisible scrollbar. I wonder if the one who coded that meant it as a joke. If so, well played! You got me for sure.
If you are on Windows, I'm not sure but maybe it helps with the system-wide toggle? Like this:
- Open the Settings app (not the Musescore settings!)
- Go to Ease of Access -> Display.
- On the right, disable the toggle option Automatically hide scroll bars in Windows.
(if you can't find it, try searching for "scroll bar" or similar and it should show up, I'm on mobile right now so can't check.

I have Windows 11, where that setting would be found in Accessibility > Always Show Scrollbars. I have that set to "ON". The Musescore scrollbars are independent from the settings in the operating system. Their behavior is hard coded, and so I wanted to see if the developers would give this a look.
