Loop Playback Count
I select a number of bars and set loop boundaries. On 'play' the selected bars are played repeatedly until stopped.
Is there a way to set the looping to end after a certain number of plays, for example, play twice then stop playing.

Not with the loop tool, but with repeat batlines
A Repeat Loop feature has been requested on Github.

Yes. This looks good.
The reason for doing this is because my piano playing is not very good (yet!) so for my choir, I can take a score in Musescore, select a number of bars for sopranos and play it for them to sing. So, also for tenor etc. I can play a short section and have them sing it over once, twice or more times. Then I can select all voices and have everyone sing to a section of the full score that they have just practiced.
I could use repeat bars, but then after the number of repeats, the playing would continue rather than stop and thus is distracting from the purpose of practicing.
Thank you all very much for your reply. I am keeping in hope for this feature to be available soon.

Given that end use, I would say that the infinite loop would work best?????
Select the portion of the piece you want to work on and turn on loop for that portion. Select a measure in the sopranos. Start it playing and they practice it however many times. Stop it playing and select a measure in the tenor part. Start it playing and they practice it however many times. Repeat as needed.
