What's the proper notation for this?

I'm trying to create a sequence for the piano where a 3-note chord is 'tied' into a single note on the next semi-quaver using the sustain pedal. I think what I have is... at least readable, but I'm almost certain that there will be a 'correct' way to do this.

I would not expect this to use a pedal marking at all, at all. Nor would I expect a pianist to play it using the pedal.

Here's how I would notate it:

And I would play it by simply holding down the initial chord and hitting the low note. Only if the chord is to be held longer than the two eighth notes (i.e., across the rest of the measure or longer) would I use the pedal.

Exactly as I indicated in my screenshot. The entire measure goes:

1: eighth note, low F
&: eighth note, low F
2: eighth note chord, middle C, F, C; held through to ...
&: the chord continues and the pianist strikes the low F note again.
3: eighth note, low F
&: eighth note, low F
4: eighth note chord, low A, E
&: eighth note, middle Cb

(Assuming the notes are on the treble clef; obviously, if they're on a different clef, the note names will be different.)
