Fretboard reference at top

I would like to have a fretboard reference at the TOP of my score like Ultimate Guitar does, where I list out all the non-standard Joni Mitchell fretboard diagrams in the piece and shows how to make them (given that it's also an odd tuning, and people won't automatically know them.) I absolutely HATE the custom of placing EVERY SINGLE chord diagram over EVERY SINGLE CHANGE always and everywhere. It clutters up the score visually. Any guitar player who hasn't memorized how to fret a standard E minor has no business playing any chart. I'd indicate for standard tuning only if I wanted a non-standard voicing. But with a non standard TUNING, ALL the frettings are also nonstandard, so I'd like to supply one copy of each diagram at the top for reference, then the musician can just learn them and apply them according to the letter symbols, resulting in a cleaner chart overall.

The problem as I see it is that MuseScore requires these diagrams to be attached to notes in a score. At least I believe that to be true.

I'm thinking making a bogus score of all 1/4 notes, putting one chord with custom diagram over each and then screenshottting it, clipping just the fret parts and inserting it as an image at the top of the real score.

Or is there a better way? Thank you.
