Can't figure out how to add a specific triplet.
anyone know how to do this grace triplet with the first note of the grace note aligned with the note on the bass clef and have enough timing for the eighth notes at the end in the studio?

here's the full line
The triplet as a whole has a duration of an eighth note, so select an eighth note or rest and press CTRL+3.
In general, to enter a n-tuplet with a total duration of an xth note, select an xth note or rest and press CTRL+n.

I don't think they are actually grace notes, anyway. Just select them and make them smaller in Properties.

that's what i thought when I couldn't get grace notes in there but when i gave the actual sheet a listen, those notes are being played at a faster pace.

Well, yes, that's what you would expect. You have three notes played in the time of one of the surrounding eighth notes.

... better still, do not make the triplet notes small. Making those triplet notes smaller wrongly suggests that they are grace notes!

Additionally, the OP expressly wanted "the first note of the grace note aligned with the note on the bass clef".
(The word "urtext" comes to mind.)
