My file is corrupted (Please help recover my work for me)
Hello, I have been working on this work for over a month, and this morning I was up able to open the file, and it states that the files has been corrupted. I have tried ways to recover it using one of the guides you guys provided and I was still unable to get it to work, or possibly I am doing it wrong. Is there a way or chance you guys can help recover my work for me. Please and thank you.
You can message me on or send me a new file that is working.
Thank you for your time
sincerely, Tamvu5011

7-Zip won't open it: says it's not an archive.
Three different text editors opened it, saying that it's a "binary file". Each editor displayed it with the same character, repeated throughout, but each editor's character was different from the others. Dunno what that means.
Notepad++ shows this:
This means that every byte of the 100kB is zero. There is nothing to recover ...

That's what I was expecting from what I could see, but my text editors wouldn't show that their blank symbols were, in fact, NULs.
Musescore saves backup files in a hidden .mscbackup folder, which is located in the same place as your project file.
There should be a file named .name_of_your_file.mscz~
where "name_of_your_file" is the name of your project file.
Copy it to another location, remove the ~ from the file name and try to open it.
