The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
When I try to launch 2.1 it asks me if I want to restore the previous session. Either yes or no results in a Windows 7 system error "The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way." Does the C++ library have to be reinstalled for this to work correctly? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software to no avail. Thanks!

I would suggest running MuseScore from the command prompt, or whatever it's called in you OS and revert to factory settings.

There is an internal link to each OS.
You should be able to run it normally after doing this once.
