Delay/lag with Musescore2 + Debian Stable/Gnome

I just switched my primary computer over to debian stable / Gnome and installed musescore2.
Looks super nice, love the new interface, but it's super laggy.
Every note input takes 2 seconds to place, and if I move the cursor after clicking, it'll place the note wherever my mouse is a second after the click. Really frustrating.

Just figured I'd see if anyone else had run into that, and if they'd fixed it.

Prior to this, I'd had it installed on the same machine running ubuntu/gnome and it didn't have any issue, though I believe it was the previous version of musescore then.
