How to change the size of the notes in just a few bars

• Oct 4, 2017 - 22:29

Hi!

I'm trying to create cue notes without creating a complete score. That procedure is described over here: https://musescore.org/en/node/46231. But I don't have all parts, I only have my own part with cue notes in it. But because it has 5 pages with a lot of empty space, I'm retyping it on just 2 pages.

I'd like to use the cue notes (I added the notes in the correct clef), but I can't find how to make them small. Clicking on the right mouse button opens a window, but I can't find the size of the elements anywhere.

Any ideas on this?

Thanks in advance! I added the part as an attachment. Please see bars 17-19 and 92-93. (I copied the stem directions this way on purpose, like the printed part also had. In case you're wondering.)

To make the notes small, select the appropriate range (eg, click first note, shift+click last), then look over to the right side of the screen and find the Inspector window. If you've closed it, go to View / Inspector to open it again. Click the "Notes" button at the bottom to restrict the selection to just the notes within the range. Now check the "small" box under the "Chord" section. You can do the same to also get any rests if you like.
