Different Sound Fonts between App and Website
So on a song I just transcribed and posted recently, there are Snare Drums. The sound it produces on the Website is what I expected; however, it sounds nothing like it on the app. What percussion sound fonts are there that do not change between the app and website?

There is a know issue with Tenor drums in MuseScore 2.1, see #196321: Tenor Drum playback not functioning correctly, I believe it has been fixed on MuseScore.com alread and will hopefully get fixed in MuseScore 2.2

Is it only tenor drums? I'm using snare drums. And the audio 'functions,' just not the way it's supposed to.

Only Tenor drum (and bass synth, different issue). With app do you mean the app for iOS or Android?
Are you talking about this score?

If so: I don't see a percussion staff.
Ah! It is hidden. Sounds the same on MuseScore.com and inside musescore, haven't tried the player/songbook app

Yes, that score, since on the iOS app it acts differently than on this website.
The app is the problem for me.

The apps may use a different (smaller) soundfont, not sure.

No, but I didn't try the App on my Android devices (and don't have any iOS device), just the musescore program on my Windows 7 PC, and there I could not hear a noticeable difference

I'll try recording a segment of it and uploading it as a file.

Why? As I said, it is well possible that the iOS and Android apps use a restricted soundfont.
Definite answers about this from lasconic or Thomas, or via support@musescore.com

Alright, I'll do that. Should I email them?

I do believe the app uses a different soundfont - smaller, to save space. So it is perfectly normal it might sound different on different devices, just as it is likely to sound different played by different human musicians. Such is the nature of notated music :-)

Listen to the first few measures of the song previously posted and then listen to the .wav file in this zip (I couldn't directly post .wav). This is what is heard on the Musescore songbook app.

I believe the "marching" versions of the isntruments are non-standard sounds (not part of the General MIDI specification) and thus not available in soundfonts other than the one that comes with MuseScore. Choose a different percussion instrument if you want something more likely to be compatible with other MIDI players.
