Defining Special Character

Hello. I checked out the forum and read related threads but couldn't find what I was looking for. I need to add some special characters (which are not in the symbols palette) over the notes. I have the font I need but cannot add it to symbols palette or sth. Saving every chracter I need as a .jpg, .png or sth might be an option but I prefer them on symbols palette. Is there a way to do so?

One way:

  • Add staff text.
  • Change to desired font at bottom of program window (supposing it's installed) .
  • Click left-most button there (a squared greek lower-cased alpha).
  • Browse through the Unicode Symbols categories.
  • Find the desired symbol and double click it.
  • Supposing you found for what you were looking, for later you can [Ctrl+Shift+Drag] into a User-palette as a text mark rather than an image.
