Writing music on MuseScore for private use
I have just downloaded MuseScore so I can put my handwritten songs into an attractive form to present to a publisher. I want to keep them private until I've accomplished that. Is MuseScore set up so that only I can see the work I've created on it, or does the work immediately become public?

You can save all of your work on your computer and only people with access to your computer can see them. If you save them online you have the option of marking the score private. Only people you send the link to can have access to your private online scores.

Thank you, Mike. Sounds like I should save on my computer. I hope the options will all be clear once I get into the program.

To be clear - saving on your computer is the normal save operation - you don't have to do anything special to make that happen. Saving online happens only if you use the specially marked "Save Online" feature.
