No sound on my new Mac Book
I cannot get sound from Musescore2.1. I had an old version 1.3 and it works fine on my new Mac but upgrading to 2.1 I cannot get sound at all. I have tried the suggestions, including reset to factory settings but to no avail.

Hi,
Can you try to enable the metronome left to the "Concert pitch" button in the toolbar? Do you hear something?
If not, can you check View > Synthesizer and confirm that you see FluidR3_GM.sf3 listed on the left side? When you play, does the vuemeter on the right side of this dialog move?
Can you check MuseScore > Preferences, make a screenshot and attach it in a comment?
It should look like this

Probably my English skills aren't be good enough, but could you explain what's the difference between the metronome and view meters inside MuseScore?
I afraid, you've also checked this and it doesn't work for you: https://musescore.org/en/node/96811
Note: another suggestion is from similar requests of other users (certainly with another Operating System than Mac) if there's a possibility to update the audio driver.

If you do not hear the metronome sound, look at the operating system's mixer.
Musescore's volume may be off.

To be sure, "Done all these things..." means also you've checked if it works with MuseScore 2.2 or 2.0.3?

yes, tried to download both these versions, but 2.1 is what loads up every time. Really strange.
