Second Part Editing
I am trying to put two different flute parts on one line, Is there a way to copy one flute line and paste it into the second part section of another flute line without getting rid of the music that was already there? Also, In a 3/4 measure, the first part flutes play and the second parts don't, but musescore will not let me put a whole rest in the measure for second parts, it will only let me put a dotted half rest which is not ideal.

In French look at my picture. If the 2 parts are exactly on the same rythms for notes and rest , you can use it. If rythms are differents you must use VOICES in the HandBook

Do I have to copy the selection that I want to implode? Because that's what I did and it didn't work?
Select all of the second flute music and use the menu edit->Voices->exchange 1-2. This will put rests in all of voice 1. Make sure the entire part is still selected and open the selection filter (F6) and remove the check from voice 1. Copy and paste to the first flute part. You now have both parts on one line.
As for the 3/4 measure, select the rest and press ctrl+shift+delete to turn it into a whole measure rest.
