Weird stem lengths/directions in version 2.2
I opened a score on which I had recently been working (created in 2.1, opened in 2.2), and the stem lengths/directions in some passages have gone haywire. Some are also on the wrong side of the note head. I've attached the file, two screen captures demonstrating the problem, and a PDF of how the file looked originally (in 2.1).

Click one of them, select all similar elements-> Ctrl+R.
Check if it works for you
It seems you have saved this as a 2.2.1 score which is unfortunate. This means the 2.1 score probably no longer exists so a programmer cannot look at the 2.1 score to see how to fix it in a future version.

A backup might still exist though
The PDF has been made with 2.1
I see 5 such overlong stems, selecting them and pressing Ctrl+R (I guess that is Cmd+R on a Mac?) fixes them.
This and a bit of reducing stretch makes up for the attached

Thank you. Resetting the stems helps, though I had adjusted them, and will readjust.

That adjustment most probably caused the issue, so we may have a way to reproduce. How did you adjust?

I adjusted some of the stem lengths in the choral parts by double clicking them and using the cursor to shorten them. I did this to avoid collision with the lyrics and some of the dynamics.

It looks like you actually adjusted a lot of stem lengths, but only a few got messed up. So the trick would be to figure out what was different about these.
FWIW, I can see the bad stem adjustments in the file (huge negative values like -20) and the same issue appears when opening the score using 2.1. So the issue has nothing to do with 2.2.
My guess is there was a manual stem adjustment of some more reaosnable small amount (there are lots of these) but then some other adjustment - like maybe the staff size adjustments - somehow screwed this up. Would indeed be good to know how to reproduce this.

Well, the file was created in 2.1 and was completely finished, including the stem adjustments. I opened it several times afterward in 2.1 with no issue. The problem occurred when I opened the file in 2.2. I can only assume that something in the new version caused the problem.

OK, so I guess you saved the version you uploaded using 2.2.1? Any chance you can recover an older 2.1 version? As mentioned above, without seeing the original 2.1 version it will be hard to guess what might have happened then.

Sadly, no. I was hasty.
