Lyrics Duplicating when adding rest

In Musescore 2.3.2, there is a bug where if you create a rest where a note with lyrics that is longer than the rest being created currently is, then every note after the rest from the original long note contains the same lyric. I believe that the lyric should only be assigned to the left-most note.
Steps to reproduce:
Create a semibreve (whole) note
Give it a lyric
Press N to enter note entry mode, and select a semiquaver (16th) rest.
Place this where the semibreve is
The lyrics should be duplicated across all the notes that are left from the semibreve.
