When there is a repeat with a first and second ending, the second time through the first ending it, it doesn't stop at the beginning of the first ending segment and jump to second ending, but plays the second bar of the first ending then jumps to the second ending.

It sounds like you have play repeats turned of on your MuseScore program.

It's the one with a repeat sign in the above picture.
You have attached your first ending incorrectly. If you double-click it, you can see that it actually ends after only one measure. Probably you dragged the endpoint to make it appear to cover multiple measures rather than attaching it to all three measures in the first place or extending it via Shift+right as explained in the Handbook under Voltas.
In the future, it is better to use the Support forum when asking for help using MuseScore.
Can we start using this Category and Status to make it easier to find real issue that have been fixed? It is more accurate.

Agreed. Really, long term, I could totally see just going ahead and using the same issue tracker for both bug reports and support questions. Not sure the current tracker is the right platform but I gather that might be slated for replacement at some point anyhow?
