Welcome, check the settings in the Mixer and whether dynamics are present.
Can you attach the score you are having problems with?

Mixer seems fine. Version 2.1 sounds great everything over that, unison passages are slightly out of tune instead of muse just playing one of the parts. Its not the score. I had the program crash and reload like this

Version 2.1 came with the FluidR3Mono_GM.sf3 soundfont. You can download it from here:

More info. here:

Still funky
In order to understand and assist better, we would need you to attach the score you are having trouble with, and tell us exactly how to reproduce the problem (eg, which measures to listen to).
In general, the phenomenon where having two notes playing at the same time with the same sound produces odd "phasing" artifacts is not new - it goes back to the very beginning of sound synthesis. Exactly how bad the effect is depends on the specific sounds involved, but the basic issue is inherent in how sound synthesis works. Workarounds would include using the Inspector to silence one set of the duplicate notes. Another would be to use different enough velocity settings so that different samples are used. Another would be using the Piano Roll Editor to offset the start times slightly. Another would be be to load both soundfonts and set the overlapping instruments to each use a different one.
