How to change opacity or thickness of individual bar lines
Hello, I would like to compose using an alternative notation method. Is it possible to change the thickness of individual note lines? I am currently aware of being able to change the number of lines, and the thickness of all the lines, but not individual ones. Thank you.
Edit: meant to say note lines, not bar lines

Bar line or note line?
Not possible. But for a not line you could insert a line from the line palette (switch to the advanced workspace) - for example select the measures and doubleclick on the line - and adjust the settings inside the inspector (vertical offset, thickness, style...).
Maybe switch to the continuous view for adjusting the vertical offset, so you don't have to adjust it for each in individual system.

Interesting solution. Is there a way to adjust the length of a line? I don't see a option for that in the inspector. Still would be very cumbersome and time consuming way of doing this.

Ah yes, use a similar idea to https://musescore.org/en/node/270788 except don't change the color or make it as thick.
As Kuwit said, make sure you enter the line in continuous mode. Click the first rest, then click the last measure, then double click the line to apply it. You can then move it down. If you add measures, always go back to contiuous view, then use shift+arrow to extend the line.
