Playback skips several measures just before the first ending that I added.
I tried my hand at writing this out and added a first and second ending, and repeats at the end. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I need it to play the whole thing because I am writing out arpeggios to sing as an exercise. Once_I_Loved -arpeggios.mscz

Hi,
The reason why is that you added a second ending 2 measures before the first ending and those 2 measures are jumped over. I removed the second ending to measurre 17 and I think now you'll have the playback you wanted.

Besides the misplaced 2nd volta... why use a D.S. al Fine? (I see no 'Fine')
Measures 22 - 26 repeat anyway because of the start/end repeat barlines.

To tell you the truth, there is also no need for the "Seconda Volta (2)" in measure 17.
The playback will go from measure 16 to the beginning (due to the "repeat" barlines), then it will ignore measures 15-16 (since they are in Prima Volta), and will jump to measure 17. Nothing will change.

Second endings have never been more that window dressing any way. They are more informational than functional.

Thanks. I see now that when I added the voice line to my first lead sheet, it put the second ending too soon, for some reason. Here is the score before I added the voice line, so just for my own understanding, because I will indeed remove the second ending - (also great feedback) Once_I_Loved___.mscz Once_I_Loved___.mscz - but I don't see why it is skipping those measures in this earlier version as well.

Looks like you simply dragged the 2nd volta to the next staff.
To confirm, if you double click on it, you'll see the attachment points are in measure !3.
