Musescore 3 keeps crashing
I have a few tabs open in Musescore 3 at the same time and as soon as I go to one specific tab the whole program crashes and often I lose the progress I have made on other tabs. The, when I try to reopen the program, I have to "restore session" (which it doesn't - it opens the tabs as they were at the beginning before changes were made). It then says each and every one of my scores has been corrupted and I have to press ignore. Then, when I try to open the tab that made the program crash, it crashes again and there is no end.
The same thing occurs when I try to make changes to the score or when I try to play it back. Even just selecting one single note makes the whole program crash.
I have a deadline for the arrangement I have to create and this glitch is really not helping.

Attach the score that would show when you click the tab that causes the crash so we can look at it.

This is the score that causes the crash. All the scores on other tabs work fine
Thanks so much for your help!

A picture won't help. You need to attach the actual score. You can find it using the file explorer. The file will end with .mscz with no , after the .mscz.
In the mean time, you can revert to factory settings in the help menu. You will need to reopen all of your scores, but this should prevent the crash from happening again.

Sorry about that. I have attached the scores (there are 2 which cause the crash now).

I just tried reverting to factory settings but the crash still occurs.

I can open ...No worries without a problem in both versions 2 & 3. I see ...Mine was saved using version 3 and crashes when I try to open it. Someone that uses a debug version will have to see what causes the crash. I suspect in the next day or two someone will look at it. Most everyone here is a user like you and me, so be patient and someone should help you. If no one else responds in a couple of days, then make a comment here to put the discussion back at the top of everyone's list.
What happened when you did the revert to factory settings? If all of the files closed and both of these files causes a crash, then tell us which version you are using. Use Help->About and click the square next to the build to copy the version info to the clipboard, you can then paste it into your response.
If the scores did not automatically all close, then you did not properly revert to factory settings.

Do you have any idea about how long it might take to find a fix? Or do you have any other suggestions in the meantime? I need to finish this arrangement for a school project...

I don't know where you are, but here in the US, it's a long holiday weekend. I guess if you are somewhere else, it's probably not the same.

I am so sorry I didn't see the entirety of your last message!!! When I reverted to factory settings all of the scores did close and both of those files did cause a crash. I am using OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0.4785, revision: c1a5e4c

It's strange you can't open ...No worries. Here is the file I saved using version 3, so maybe you can open it also. Hakuna_Matata_No_Worries.mscz I guess you'll need to redo the other score if you don't have a version 2 score still. If you did not tell MuseScore3 to overwrite the version 2 copy, you should still have it. Open MuseScore version 2 and see if you can find it. If you can then you can post it here and I'll see what I can do to help.

The score you attached works! Thank you!
The strange thing is that the other score I sent is one that I originally created in version 3, so it cannot be opened in version 2 at all - but version 3 won't let me open it...

I knew the other one had been saved using version 3, but I hoped you had created it in version 2 also. You will have to start that one over unless someone can fix it in time for you. This isn't out of the question. I hope someone will find out why it crashes and keep it from happening in the future.
