I press Edit>Instruments and I see Piano>Staff1>Treble clef.
Then I press keyboards>piano and then another piano with treble and base clef appears.
Then I delete the original piano.
Then I delete the treble on the 2nd piano,
Then if I press Add or Add stave, it just adds another piano to the right hand side.
It does nothing to the score.
and Add Stave.pdf 172.75 KB doesn't work either
and I just now updated Musescore2

Thank you Jm6stringer,
You are the one that knows how to teach.
I didn't learn the proper sequence from anyone else.
I didn't know the final OK was part of that sequence,

Thanks - U R d Boss!
All the half replies "Add instrument" were driving me nuts.)

jm6stringer made a good point. Its almost impossible to get the Instruments window to the point where you can press enter to accept. You should always click OK in this window.
Press "i" to bring up the Instruments menu. Click on Piano, Stave 1 then click on Add Stave.
OR
Press 'i', ADD a piano from the Keyboards section then copy and paste from your first (treble-only) stave. You can then press "i" again when you are done and delete the first stave.
Note - it is more usual to have a vocal stave that is separate from the piano stave.
