Copyright notice only on first page of piece

• Jan 22, 2019 - 00:16

Is there a way to put the copyright notice ONLY on the first page of a piece? I have a rather large notice of permission that I am required to include with the copyright notice, and other than on the first page, the text of the copyright notice, because of its size, begins to encroach upon the music. Thanks in advance.

I'm not totally clear on how to do that with what I have. This is my copyright notice with the permission notice (that has to be EXACTLY reproduced) in it:

"Musical setting ©1991, 2012, Erik Branch
*Poems by Emily Dickinson used by arrangement with the publishers and the Trustees of Amherst College
from THE POEMS OF EMILY DICKINSON, Thomas H. Johnson, ed., Cambridge, Mass.:
The Belknap Press of Harvard University Press, Copyright © 1951, 1955, 1979, 1983 by the
President and Fellows of Harvard College. All rights reserved."

To get it copyright credit ONLY on first page>

  1. First go to Styles then go to Headers & Footers
  2. Once you are on this window, use the bottom section for FOOTERS
  3. To center the copyright credit, use "Middle"
  4. Place the "$C" before your text.
  5. make sure to check the box indicate just that (Show on first page)
  6. You ALSO need to check the box DIFFERENT ODD/EVEN PAGES
