Renaming an instrument in Musescore 3
I'm trying to change an instrument's name in Musescore 3, but I can't figure it out...
In Musescore 2, in the score, I would click on the instrument's name, then right click and select Staff Properties to change the instrument and its name. In Musescore 3 I can't click on the instrument's name, so I can't get to the instrument's Staff Properties.
I'm guessing this menu/option has been moved somewhere else. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance!

Ah! Makes sense! Thank you!
Right click on the instrument name in the score and select "stave/part properties". You can change the instrument name, the long name and the abbreviated name too!

And if the piece has tabbed sections for different instruments, you have to change the instrument on the master tab, not the individual instrument's tab.

would you know how to change the tab names?
I could update the instrument name on the master - no problem, but the tab names don't seem to change.

File > Part, change the name there

I can't click on the instrument name because it is blank! This is a Piano grand staff. Everything looks right in Staff/Part properties, but the title doesn't appear.

Please attach the score (.mscz). Then someone can see what is going on.

If it's only a Piano score (single instrument), then perhaps you need to uncheck Format → Style… → Score →
Hide instrument name if there is only 1 instrument
For Mac users, control+click the part name and go to "Staff/Part Properties." There, you can edit your part as you like.
