Bug: Musejazz does not render properly in pdf

• May 7, 2019 - 22:50

In the rendered pdf, the beams of 16th notes are a solid thick line instead of two in some measures, not all--it's inconsistent.

My system: OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.1.0.6715, revision: 526f80e

Musescore version:

Are the staves by any chance set to small? There were known issues with this prior to 3.1, but they also affected on-screen display. I can't reproducible any problem using 3.1. Can you attach your score?

I see the repeat bars are also badly sized. Come to think of it, though, neither of these are actually dependent on the font used - they are drawn as plain lines. So in theory, you should see the same results regardless of font.

Right now, I'm sort of kind of guessing your staves are set to small, and the PDF was actually generated in 3.0.5 and maybe your 3.1 version got saved somewhere else...

I can't reproduce using my own build of 3.1 and your score. Can you attach your actual PDF? Are you generating it with File / Export, or a third party PDF printer?

It t seems your score has less distance than usual between beams - only 33% of the beam thickness rather than the norm of 50%. So both on screen and in the PDF, there is less space between beams than would be recommended. But it is scaled correctly in both 3.0.5 and 3.1 for me. Looks like MuseJazz specifically has set the beam distance to 33% thus deliberately moving them closer to together, not sure why.
