How to add parentheses around a breath mark?
I know how to add parentheses around accidentals using Inspector panel, but it seems there is no option to add them for breath marks to make them optional.

You must use staff text, turn off it's auto place and move it so it "looks" like they're around the breath mark.

Actually, since, then, I found a solution to add (V) to a custom palette.

Of course, if adding parentheses (or brackets) around a breath mark is added to the Inspector option, that would be nicer in terms of its proper positioning, etc.

I believe there should be an add brackets option for every item defined in MuseScore except text items, which allow it by default.

Possible currently only for noteheads and accidentals, and as of latest also for time signatures. See #288422: Set default shortcut to "add brackets to element".

Ah, I see. I didn't read "should" correctly.

How do you actually do this. as i want to add parenthesis around breath mark but staff text only seems to work on the note.
