Multiple crashes when importing .xml
Hello! I am a percussion composer for marching bands. The person I am writing with uses Sibelius and I usually export their files as .xml and import into musescore. lately, the program has been crashing constantly when I do this. I thought it might have been due to having too many instruments but I removed almost all of the horns and it is still crashing.
At first it was when I would try to save, but now it is whenever I try to add or change anything.
I have written large scores in Muse before but this problem is severely hindering my work.
Any help or advice would be great

No way to halp you without more details, like Operating System and version of MuseScore, but esp. some XML files that are causing crashes

No XML attached, just PNGs (OK, so macOS and MuseScore 3.1) and an MSCX
Or is the crash happening when exporting that to XML?
Certainly not for me, musicxml attached
Hmm, it does crash when saving that MSCX as MSCZ

so, I'm opening up this file in Sib. and it all plays fine (sounds terrible)
then I export that sib file to xml (below) and open in muse. first thing I do is save as in a new location, and the program closes. then has a crash report

I can import that and save as MSCZ
Asl long as I don't switch to continuous mode... if I do: BOOM

I also always switch to continuous mode. Why does that cause the crash?

And why is it just with these files? I have other files that ive composed completely in muse and there are probably 25 instruments and it works fine in continuous

Something to do with a Glissando?
Indeed, removing all Glisandi and the crash on save is gone.
There is a bogus glissando starting in measure 675, Mellophone, extending to the 3rd to last note of that staff. That beastie is the culprit.

Very strange, there doesn't seem to be a Gliss. in the xml, and still isn't after importing it, but there is all of a sudden once switching to continuous mode.
And then not only saving as MSCZ crashes, but also switching back to page mode

Yep, it's been very frustrating. I'm gonna blame that one on Sibelius somehow.
Thank you!

Probably not, I can't see any gliss in the XML

It may be Sibelius after all.
