crescendos
HI
I've imported a muse2 score into 3.1 so in the organ part a crescendo suddenly increases dynamics when it plays at the start (yes i notated a p and a f ) between the cresendo . The crescendo does not increase the dynamic! I think this happened in Muse2 as well which is why i had the graduated pp-mp-p-mf-f-ff in the first place.
Anyone else have this problem?
I've tried everything I can think of. I want a smooth dynamic increase over several bars .

Also when I mscz a file and import to Finale the Cresendos become Diminuendos ?? Why?

You (or anyone) might be interested in the enhancement that MuseScore contributor jeetee has recently made to the Tempo Change plugin.

I've added it to this score:
Dynamics Organ4.mscz
The plugin now allows for a non-linear tempo change.
That is, in this posted example, the rate (of tempo change) increases as the score progresses.

That's not quite so; we're talking about the third derivative, not the second. With a linear tempo change, the tempo changes as the score progresses, too... but with nonlinear change, the rate at which the tempo changes progresses as the sore progresses!

Indeed... so we both reference the increase of the rate of change.

You must have all of your dynamics attached to the same staff. Even though they look like they are, they are not. For example, your p and pp are above the lower staff and their crescendos are below the upper staff. MuseScore does not know you want these to work together even though you have them all set to a dynamic range of Part.
I did this as one constant cresc. in my version.

Thanks Mike I see I just thought the two staves were the same organ so it wouldn't matter.
