Multiple System Texts
I have multiple movements with titles in a piece. I also need directions on how to play the movement. I entered both as System text in the first measure, on the first note. There is no problem on the score, but the second entry, directions on how to play the movement does not always appear on the parts. In fact usually it doesn't. Which leads to another related question as to whether there is another way to enter the movement titles when they are all in the same file.

The best way to add a title is to insert a frame (it always gets inserted before the selected measure). You can then treat it just like the title frame. If you want a second frame for instructions, insert it before the same measure and it will end up between the title and the music.

Thank you! I didn't even know frames existed for this purpose. I had seen it in passing for use as a break before a coda, but not needing that I hadn't looked into what else it could do. Now I need to figure out how to save what is done. The inspector shows ways to adjust things, including font size, but as soon as I leave the frame, it goes back to the way it was, so what is the purpose? (Sorry, I'm a getting very frustrated.)

I no more recall exactly what it is expected here, but: first type your text -> then leave the frame -> select the text and adjust things as you want. When quitting the frame again, settings are always here.
FWIW, even though as mentioned it's not really the best way to do this, it should work to add multiple systems texts. But there is a bug where they won't appear properly on multimeasure rests. See #38941: Staff texts after the first are ignored in multimeasure rests
