Some questions on choral settings ("dotted ties", pickup counts deducted from last bar, volta brackets for mid-bar repeat signs, etc.)

Hi, I'm a hobby choir singer and i use Musescore for generating and editing choral scores and practice aids. Recently, I keep coming across these problems:
- can't find a "dotted tie" symbol for notes that are sung for a different length in different verses of a song due to text distribution (example: In the first verse I need two eigths for the word "sin-ger", in the next verse a quarter note in the same place for the word "song", i.e. a normal tie would not do the job for all verses).
- As far as I know, when using a pickup, the "value" of the pickup is deducted from the length of the last bar. Every time I set a pickup so far, the end bar kept the standard length and I was left with an additional pause. Not nice, but unproblematic so far. Now I need a repetitioin sign on count 3 in the last bar of a four-four-time song (i.e. there is a quarter note pickup at the start, and there is a repetition sign at the end). What I got is the repetition sign, the superfluous pause and then the end bar sign, Not looking nice if I want to use it as sheet music for a choir. I found a fix by editing the nominal/actual appearance/count of the last bar. That got rid of the pause, but the end bar sign now has an additional fat vertical line. Looks strange. Is there a way to do it more "elegantly", or a way that Musescore adjusts the last bar to the pickup automatically?
- The same song also requires a mid-bar repetition sign in the middle of the song, facing the repetition sign at the end. When adding the volta brackets I found no way to anchor them correctly to the mid-bar repetition sign, they kept superimposing each other. After getting them finally in place, the repetition was not observed, it ran straight through. Is there a way to get what I want? Of course it would be great if Musescore would self-adjust to the new bar sign automatically.
- Is there a way to delete whole lines of text or to switch the position of whole text lines?

Sorry if this is all too much or too easy to answer - I looked in the manual and could not find anything fitting.
