MOVING THE SCORE SIDEWAYS
I am working off some midi input and the first beat is in the wrong place; I need to move the whole score by eg a quarter note to the left to position it at the beginning of the bar. Is that possible, and how? Thanks to anyone who can .help

Moving things is done via cut and paste. Select (eg, Ctrl+A to select al), cut (Ctrl+X), select the new start location, paste (Ctrl+V)
