Player distortion - possible bug in Mac?
I’m using the latest version of Musescore (3.2.3.22971) with Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6 on my new Mac Book Air.
When I write musical notes, the sound is distorted with a kind of delay. The same thing happens when I play back what I've written especially with lots of instruments.
I’ve tried to install a new sound library but the problem persists.
I’d really appreciate some help in this matter.

Generally, this indicates you system is low on resources. Rebooting may help, also just starting and restarting playback a few times to make sure the necessary information is in memory so your OS doesn't need to "swap" it in from disk. Or, install more memory.

Thanks, but this isn't the problem at all.

Did you try what I suggested? This has turned out to be relevant with several others reporting similar issues.

Yes I tryed. What you mean when say "install more memory"

I mean, buy more RAM, open up the computer, insert it into any available RAM slots. Or however RAM is installed on your particular model. Depending on what soundfont(s) you are trying to use, your compuer might be under-equipped in that department.

Thanks for helping. My Mac Book air is brand new with 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3. My HD is 128 GB and is empty.
I'm using M.score general.sf3

Did you delete it from the synthesizer so that only MuseScore_General.sf3 shows?
Is the synthesizer loudness meter red-lining during playback?
Do you have any MIDI hardware attached?
Any bluetooth (e.g., headphones)?
Try changing I/O parameters in Edit -> Preferences -> then click on I/O tab

I found the solution. If I using M.score 2.3.2. I don't have any problem with the player & sound distortion when I write music. :(
