Playback disabled
Every time I restart MuseScore 3 the playback is disabled.
I have followed this advice

and it still doesn't cure the playback disabled option.
This is a serious bug.

You tried everything on that list? What specific version of MuseScore (see Help / About), what OS, and what settings do you see in Edit / Preferences / I/O after the factory reset that the instructions recommend? Also what soundfont do you see in View / Synthesizer, and can you attach the score you are having trouble with?

Yes I tried everything on this list.
Reset to factory settings allows me to playback.
Restarting the app again and I can then playback.
If I close the app and run YouTube for example, then close YouTube and restart MuseScore I have to reset to factory settings again to enable playback.
I'd like to keep my settings between MuseScore sessions if possible.

Sounds like your browser is doing something to change the system settings perhaps, then? Which OS, which browser?
The only relevant thing the revert could be doing based on your description is changing the settings in Edit / Preferences / I/O. So, go to that dialog, see what settings you see when it's working, and make those settings yourself when it isn't.
