Updated Retrograde?
For those who used the retrograde plugin of 2011, it is now not available to the most recent updates of must score. Are there any plugins that can do retrograde for the newer updates of musecore?

No there currently aren't.
I'd sure like to have this in Musescore, hopefully it'll come along.

Since version 3.0 is being released soon and the plugin facility is currently broke, I suspect this will not happen until sometime after 3.x is released with the plugins working.

And even then it may not happen, that plugin has never been ported to 2.x either

I remember recently seeing someone say they were working on something that would do several tone row conversions, but I don't see it on the plugins list. Perhaps is had something to do with the lack of support for triplets in plugins?

I read through the Retrograde code. My understanding is that it simply writes notes & rests in reverse order of selection to a new score.
Is this correct?
For what purpose do you use it?

It's used for musical variety. On a subconscious level you recognize what's been done and associate it with the original line of music. It was first developed for use in tone rows, but is used for other musical lines now.
Wrote a little plugin that in my opinion does what the old one did :-).
You'll find the plugin below. Copy it to your plugin directory or open plugin creator and copy the contents.
This plugin was written with Musescore 3.3.0.8479 BETA version. So it will probably not work on older versions.
Take care it still does not support tuplets and therefor will shift notes whenever it encounters a tuplet. The reason it does is that the duration of a tuplet note equals it 's real value and not 1/3).
I did not found any information on how to handle tuplets in a plugin. It will demand a lot of effort to figure out how to handle them.
When saving the new score it will give an error failed: Bad file descriptor. Use save as instead!

Thanks a lot! I was trying to run it and it reports “104:-1: TypeError: Cannot read property 'elements' of undefined”, it seems like the score selection is undefined but I did select a region
