Background color of Musescore
Hello everybody
I'm proudly using Musescore as I firmly believe such programs have to be opened source and accessible to everybody.
My concern is the background color of Musescore. I hardly work with the light theme because of my eyes, and at the same time I find the brown-dark theme horribly UGLY.
With appreciation to the huge team effort made to make Musescore what it is today I wonder whether it is so difficult to add more attractive themes.
Please take it into consideration in the future.
All the best

You can change the colors of everything except the main theme color, which is restricted to Preferences > General > Theme > Dark/Light.
This is what I want to change.
Sorry but I can't understand your answer; "Unlikely to happen". Why? Is giving Musescore users such option too difficult?

Maintaining 2 themes is difficult enough already. But as written you can change practically all color already youself
It sounds like there might be a problem with your system configuration or your monitor. There is no brown at all in MuseScore's “Dark” theme; there are only various shades of pure gray.
Perhaps if you manage to get your colors displaying properly you will find MuseScore's Dark theme less unpleasant.

This is a screenshot of how it looks on my monitor. There is no problem in color display I guess.
Regardless of what color it is, it is extremely faint, pale, unpleasant to the eyes, and non-professional.
I have utmost respect to those who work to keep this program alive and running, and based on the answers I got here I have no choice but to accept it the ways it is. But this is not OK at the end!

I see no brown, but that dark blue isn't supposed to be there IIRC

If you mean the dark-blue background behind the page it is me who changed it as a matter of experimenting. My problem is the main theme color, not the page background.

The rest looks exactly as it should.
But if you don't like it, change it to your heart's content via the advanced preferences
