articulations
i have a few notes on a score and then went through the various listed Articulations and it seems that only some like stacatto and bend made a difference in the audio playback and most others like snap pizz made no difference in the audio. is this correct or something wrong somewhere?

If you want Pizzicato for a violin have a look https://musescore.org/en/handbook/mixer#mid-staff-change

there is a simple, direct way to get pizz (and arco and tremolo) without whatever your link discusses which is over my head; just got to palettes and type the word at thee bottom, highlight the note, double cick the image and its done, and in these cases you can hear it in the audio. the other articulations when added to the score, as mentioned, don't seem to play in the audio.

Your method for playing pizzicato actually does what the link does automatically. As for some articulations having no effect on playback, you are correct.

thanks. its a little more than some, but be that as it may, is there a way using Sound or some other part of musescore, like what the other response linked to, to get those notation to be in the audio playback?

Not unless you find a soundfont with the proper sound, then you would need to follow the procedures in the link to hear them.
