Double Bass pizz let ring notation for concert band music
Hi,
I'm looking for the slur type thing that is added to double bass parts while pizzing to show that the note shouldn't be stopped ie let ring. I'm not sure what's it's real name is. I've attached a segment of the score that I'm currently transcribing (someone has misplaced the String Bass Part).
It's different to a let ring on guitar parts as it's more of a don't deaden. I've tried using a slur but it doesn't look right.
Thanks in advance

The easiest way to notate this is to use the symbol from the master palette (press z). Search for tie select the note and double click the symbol to apply it.

Thanks Mike,
Perfect especially as I can now drag it into my custom palette.

Ok I got too excited. If I do that with the "tie" it puts it directly under the note. Not like where it would go as a tie. I could move every single one so it looks right but not keen to do so.

Since it's a symbol, that is it's default location. You will need to reposition it. I don't believe it will ever remember it's relocated position when you put it in your custom palette. Because of this, I would put one where I want it and look at the x & y offsets. I would then select one, ctrl+click to select others and change the x & y offsets on all of them at once.
