Dynamics
So, I am in love with this piece and want to play it for a competition, but I wanted to make some modifications so the judges know that what I'm doing stylistically is on propose. (Last time I was marked down because I applied my ideas to the Chinatown Solo without changing the music).
Anyway, I the crescendo at measure 7 works fine, but the decrescendo right after it does not. After doing some messing around, I also found out that if a add a softer dynamic after the decrescendo, the crescendo does not work and the decrescendo does. How do I make it play measures 7 and 8 how I want them to?

Try changing the settings in Inspector:
Use F11 to slow down the playback and appreciate the differences

Thanks, but I found that it works if i attach the dynamic to the note after the cresc/dim instead of to the cresc/dim itself.
