Breath mark line
I play a lot of brass music and loads of the literature uses a short thin single straight line as breath mark, instead of an apostrophe:
Is this purely a question of the font glyphs or is it something that could be implemented in Musescore as another available breath mark?
Btw, of course I can add the "line" breath marks as symbols into the score. I'm more interested if they could possibly show up as an option in the breath mark palette.

If you have what you want in the score you can CTRL+drag it from the score to add it to the breath mark palette yourself. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/palettes#custom-palettes

Correction: that should be CTRL+SHIFT+drag (or CMD+Shift+drag if you are on a MAC).

That is certainly true. The problem is, it doesn't behave like a breath mark.
For example I can 'abuse' one of the articulation ticks as a breath mark but it doesn't re-arrange the measure using teh breath mark spacing.

Good point.
To generalise a bit, it would be nice to be able to add an element with a desired behaviour but change the glyph. Then we could do sneaky things like replacing an accidental with some other symbol.

Yes. That would extend this to other palette items as well.
