  • There’s another thing that “puzzles me”: when we start to edit the note heads to signify a rather special drum instrument (because sometimes, we need to edit a drum kit “Tailor-made”!) Is “the big bazaar”… I explain:
  • If you want to look for the “triangle notehead left black or white” for example, it's quite easy to find: they are neighbors. But to look for the “triangle notehead left whole or double-whole”, you have to look for… when they exist !!! And the list is long… It is especially these groups of note heads (triangle notehead left up, left down, right up and right down) which are concerned, as well as certain other groups. Example :
    Tableau têtes de note.jpg
If you can put together and in order the note heads of the same family and possibly, separate the groups with a thin line: that will make things easier for us !!!
There's something else I wanted to point out: it's about exporting to MIDI 0! Please include it: it will delight owners of Korg keyboard arrangers who will be delighted to program their instrument!
    Export MIDI.jpg
    Regards

In most cases you should never need to look at that very long list. Most customziations are done using the "Notehead group" dropdown. You only need the long list if you specifically want different notehead types for different durations or other more unusual customization. But I agree for those unusual cases, better organization would help.

Even modern Korgs (the PA700 and PA1000) only accept MIDI 0 files. They don't read MIDI 1.
In any case, this standard, as well as MIDI 1, are among the first standards to appear when the MIDI interface was invented and recorded / played back on a computer (Atari, one of the first).

As I said, I'm all in favor seeing such a feature in MuseScore, which is why I encourage you to file the formal suggestion. Still, it's hard for me to believe that in the year 2020 someone is producing a product that cannot handle type 1. So to me, yes, it's as much a missing feature for Korg to not support MIDI 1 as it is for us not to support MIDI 0. Which is why I also encourage you to file a formal suggestion to them as well.
