tied (not slurred) note still being played
Used tie feature, but still getting 2nd tied note being played separately.

Well, you have 2 separate instruments in that score, one with ties and one without (the TAB staff).
Either tie those too, or use a linked staff instead

I'm long time grateful pro user --- having same problem with new arrangement for sax quartet --- just laid down a few measures of one instrument, and tied notes playing separately. I seem to remember that there is a fix for this. Thanks.

Entirely different issue: you used mostly slurs, not ties, (there are some times towards the end though)

Open you score.
Play and compare measure 10 to measure 18.
Click on the slur or tie and look in the Inspector (or in the Status bar - at the screen bottom). You will see "slur" or "tie" -- as the case may be.
